Beneath the cool fresh water of the Great Lake's lie some the best preserved shipwrecks in the world. Numbering into the thousands. Each with its own unique history. Some over a century old. Come visit these majestic vessels with us. 

The Great Lakes once were the freeways to the country's interior, providing goods long before the transcontinental railroad was completed.  Due to weather or other unforeseen events, some of those ships ever reached their destination, sending the vessel and its cargo to the watery deep. There they remain frozen in time thanks to the conserving effects of the cooler fresh water of the Great Lakes.


This trip will cater to both technical and advanced recreational divers. From double mast schooners to sidewheel steamers, discover their stories this August. 


Exploration and 


Trip Includes:

  • 2 days/ 2 dives each day from Blackdog Charters In a protected NOAA preserve

  • 2 nights hotel accommodation a short drive from the marina

  • Double occupany accomodations at a local lodge 

Available Upgrades:

  • discounted Intro to Wreck and Drysuit certification to be completed  with Cincinnati SCUBA and Aquatics prior to trip
  • additional boat dives and diving the days prior available 

Not Included:

  • transportation
  • meals
  • tanks and weight are available for rent
  • appropriate cold water dive gear available for rent
  • tank fills for air and special blends available from Blackdog charters
  • Dive Accident Insurance recommended  t(DAN or equivalent)
  • Travel (Trip) Insurance is HIGHLY recommended due to the nature of this trip.  The destination nor Cincinnati SCUBA & Aquatics will be responsible for delays, cancellations or modifications to the itinerary of any kind for any reason.
