The Advanced Diver course is designed as a Diver 101 survey course of the available specialties (e.g. Deep, Navigation, Photo, Video, Intro to Tech, etc.) covering all the skills and subjects, so that by the end you will feel comfortable to conduct dives of a similar nature.

Motivations for Advanced Diver Course

  • By earning the Advanced Diver certification you will have increased abilities and comfort in the water and be ready for the next step in your dive education
  • You will be recognized and given deference when diving on dive charters.

Number of Dives and Course Duration

  • 4 Two hour classroom sessions
  • 1 Three hour pool session
  • 4 dives over a 2 day quarry weekend

Qualification for Recognition

  • Complete all class and pool sessions
  • Complete open water skills to instructor’s satisfaction

​​Sign-up prior to class start date is required.

Summer Class: Classes will meet at 401 Northland Blvd 6:30-9:30pm on Tuesdays, August 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th. One pool session will be held on Sunday, September 8th 12-5pm.

Certification Dives will be held at Gilboa Quarry Saturday, September 28th and Sunday, September 29th, 2019.

Unrestricted if 15 years or older, some restrictions apply if under the age of 15, Certified (Junior) Open Water Diver,
