A NOTE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
our history
1978 – Founded by Steve Bernstein and then called Cincinnati Diving Center, we became the first dive shop in Cincinnati, bringing the underwater world to a landlocked community.
2007 – Due to his ailing health, our founder stepped back and turned the business over to a fantastic instructor, Scottie Fahey. Scottie ensured a home for every diver and made community involvement a priority spearheading a program with the Cincinnati Zoo to provide underwater care of the manatee exhibit.
2015 – After years of dedication, Scottie Fahey stepped aside and Mike Mays, long time manager of the shop purchased the business.
With time, comes change. Cincinnati SCUBA & Aquatics was born replacing CDC and moving into a new facility with an amazing showroom while retaining the unmatched staff and commitment to excellence.
The first breath I took underwater I knew I had just experienced something magical.
I knew I had to ensure that experience was available to anyone and everyone.
My vision, and my mission, has been to provide the best instruction, the best staff and the best experience for every diver.
